Pilates Subscription - Information, Terms & Conditions

Tell me more about this new subscription service

We've had a lot of feedback from our patients about making our classes both more affordable, and easier to claim. From January 2024, we will be switching a weekly payment that will be direct debited from your nominated card or bank account, similar to a gym membership.

The cost of 1 pilates class ($28) will be direct debited on a weekly basis, and you have the entire week to book into a class of your choice (or we can book you into your chosen class on an ongoing basis). A receipt will be issued immediately, allowing you to claim through your health fund straight away - no more waiting until you have completed the 10 classes on your pass.

How do I sign up?

If you are currently attending pilates at Bump Physio, you will receive an email once you have completed your 9th class on your current pass, telling you that it's almost time to sign up! When you have finished your last class on your pass, you will be sent an email with a link to our online payment portal. Fill in your details and you're dine, simple as that!

I'm new - How do I start the pilates classes?

Prior to starting either pregnancy or mums and bubs / postnatal pilates, you will need to complete a pilates assessment with one of our physiotherapists. This allows us to talk to you about your pregnancy and medical history, including any areas that may require us to customise exercises for you during the classes. We will also have a chat about our classes, how they work, and provide info on pelvic floor strengthening and how we incorporate this into each of our classes.

After your assessment, your first pilates class is complimentary. Once you have completed (and loved) that first class, we will send you details on how to join our classes ongoing.

Can I change my mind?

A 14 day cooling off period applies from the date you join (this date is taken as the day you activate your direct debit through Stripe, not the date of your assessment or first class). During the cooling off period, you may cancel your membership immediately. You will not be invoiced for any further classes past the date you notify us of your cancellation.

How does the direct debit work?

Each week, 1 pilates class will be invoiced allowing you to claim immediately through your health fund - most health funds allow you to claim instantly through their app. You will need a nominated card or bank account for an automatic direct debit with each invoice.

You are responsible for:

* ensuring your bank account or card is able to accept direct debits

* ensuring there is sufficient funds in your account for the payment to be made

* notifying us with sufficient advance notice of any changes to your direct debit details

How do I do additional classes?

Amazing! You'll see those benefits of pilates even faster!

If you would like to do an additional class each week, or even just on on occasional week, a discounted price of $24 will be charged to your next direct debit for each additional class per week.

Is there a minimum term?

The greatest benefits of pilates start being noticed from 6 weeks, so our minimum term is 6 weeks.

If you have a medical complication that prevents you from attending pilates within this minimum term, you will be able to opt out with a letter from your medical professional (obstetrician, GP or midwife).

How do I stop my classes?

Your classes can be stopped by emailing us with at least 3 days notice before your next billing cycle.

I attend pregnancy pilates - what happens to my subscription when I have my baby?

When you join our pregnancy classes, we schedule your classes to finish one week prior to your due date. You can let us know if you would prefer this scheduled finish to occur on another date. If your baby arrives earlier than expected, let us know via email and we will stop your classes. Any unused credits can be rolled over into our mums and bubs classes.

Can I pause my membership?

We understand that life gets busy, or that you might like to take some time for a babymoon or family holiday.

We require pauses to be a minimum of 2 weeks, and we require at least 3 days notice before your next billing cycle to activate the pause.

What if I can't attend a class I am booked in for?

No worries - we understand that things can pop up last minute! Simply send us an email more than 4 hours prior to the scheduled class time. You have the option to attend another class that week (subject to availability) or accrue a make-up class (up to a maximum of 4 make-up classes).

With insufficient notice (within 4 hours of the class) or non-attendance, we are unable to offer your spot to another client, therefore we are unable to offer a make-up class.

Can I claim these classes through my health fund?

Absolutely! All of our classes are taught by qualified physiotherapists and are eligible for health fund rebates if you have applicable extras cover.
